Computer Laboratory

A well-developed Computer Laboratory equipped with 30 personal computers was established in 2021 at Department of Building Engineering & Construction Management (BECM), Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology. Students use this computer laboratory for a variety of research and learning purposes using registered version of modern analysis and design software like AutoCAD, MATLAB, ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro. etc. Regardless of the field of study, the department provides state-of-the-art computer facilities allowing students to study a wide range of software for their studies regarding building design, interior design or architecture, landscaping etc. in the lab.

Construction Technology Laboratory

The department of Building Engineering & Construction Management has a Construction Technology Laboratory with adequate facilities and modern test equipment which facilitate the students for their research and course works. A large variety of test on construction material can be conducted in this laboratory. The students can perform the strength test of steel, brick, concrete and other construction material using compression tester or UTM. There are manifold test equipment for soil testing to determine the physical and mechanical properties. Students can also carry out the flexural and shear test of reinforced concrete or steel or other composite structures. This laboratory always try to be keep updated to keep pace with the modern era of engineering.
