Although Department of BECM, RUET is considerably new, the first series is in their third year now, their achievements are laudable. They won prizes several times in different categories in Builtech fest organized by the Department of BECM, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh. Many students from different universities of Bangladesh usually participate in that fest.

In 2017 at Builtech Fest 2.0 Farhan Nadim (BECM-16 Series) won the 2^nd prize in Drafting Contest category. In the same category Lutful Kabir Utsha (BECM-16 Series) won the 2^nd prize at Builtech Fest 3.0. In 2020 at Builtech Fest 4.0 Md. Riyadul Islam (BECM-16 Series) earned the 1^st prize in Management Mastermind category. The team of Farhan Nadim (BECM-16 Series), Lutful Kabir Utsha (BECM-16 Series), and Jobayer Al Noman (BECM-16 Series) were awarded the 2^nd prize in Advanced Mechanics Battle, while Muntasir Rubayet (BECM-17 Series) got the 2^nd prize in poster presentation category.
